Agnitron Upgraded Legacy Emcore E450 Control System

Agnitron upgraded legacy Emcore E450 with a new Beckhoff Automation programmable logic controller (PLC) upgrade and Imperium-MOCVD™ Control Software to a customer in Italy. The original Epiview software was obsolete and no longer supported. Software and controls were constantly failing and with a very tight production schedule, the customer could not afford the down time. Our engineers managed to install and qualify an upgrade withing 5 working days. The equipment has a unique configuration and it did not prevent our team from successfully completing the project.

The Imperium platform is a Windows 10 based package and is used for controlling MOCVD and other semiconductor process equipment. Imperium-MOCVD™ is a direct Control Software and Automation replacement for Emcore, Veeco and Thomas Swan and other MOCVD systems and it offers the latest in control technology; setting a new bar for MOCVD control flexibility.
