Agnitron Receives Follow-on Order From Customer for 2 Production-Scale MOCVD Systems
Agnitron has confirmed an order to supply 2 production-scale MOCVD systems for a laser diode production company expanding operations to a new facility in Asia. The As/P growth systems will provide additional production capacity to support the expanding operation and will enable the customer to scale the process developed on their Agnitron supplied R&D scale MOCVD. The systems will be supplied with the state-of-the-art Imperium-MOCVD digital control platform as well as advanced metrology and process monitoring devices such as Emissivity Corrected Pyrometers (ECP), Piezocon MO flow monitors. Additoinally, gas abatement systems, and an Imperium-MOCVD Recipe Editor Station will be delivered with the package solution. Upon delivery of the order to the customer facility, Agnitron will be offering field services to startup the system, providing onsite customer operation and maintenance training and as well as a material growth demonstration according to the customer’s material specification.
The Imperium control platform is a Windows 7 based package and is used for controlling MOCVD and other semiconductor process equipment. Imperium-MOCVD™ is a direct Control Software and Automation replacement for Emcore, Veeco and Thomas Swan MOCVD systems and offers the latest in control technology, setting a new bar for MOCVD control flexibility. It was developed in response to demand for upgrading legacy MOCVD tools for state of the art processing and extends the life of proven MOCVD platforms no longer supported by the OEM. Visit our Gen 3 Imperium-MOCVD™ Control Software and Automation page to view current information, as we offer a brochure and data sheet for customer inspection.
