Agnitron Technology was founded in response to growing demand for state-of-art R&D capabilities for high performance LEDs, high power electronics and new advanced green energy and nanotechnology materials.
Agnitron offers state-of-the-art, customizable OEM and Legacy R&D MOCVD and CVD solutions with decades of material science, and equipment and process engineering expertise. These solutions are offered while leveraging experience refurbishing, upgrading and remanufacturing dozens of R&D scale MOCVD systems from Emcore, Veeco, Thomas Swan and Structured Materials.
The diverse combination of talents and experience within our team enables Agnitron to provide customers with unmatched innovative solutions ranging from advanced materials development to economical state of the art custom equipment solutions. The two focuses of our vision are complementary to each other as growth requirements for new technologies often require equipment innovations. Our equipment expertise allows us to develop these new hardware capabilities and deliver them to our customers.
Our team of experts and partners have the following qualifications:
- Backgrounds in physics, materials, semiconductor processing, electrical and mechanical engineering
- Collectively publishing 400+ manuscripts and 50+ patents in the field of compound semiconductors
- Most have PhD or MS advanced degrees
- Experience with prominent companies within the semiconductor industry
Agnitron Technology operates out of a 10,000 square foot facility with class 1000 cleanroom production space and MOCVD growth and material characterization capabilities onsite. The MOCVD laboratory has four active MOCVD systems for growth of III-N, MgZnO/ZnO, β-Ga2O3 and advanced Oxide materials. The laboratory also is used for preshipment demonstration and checkout of equipment prior to delivery and installation at customer sites.
These facility and growth capabilities enable a variety of active R&D projects and facilitate development of new equipment capabilities. Additionally the facility serves as production space for the Agilis Compact MOCVD System, Aura HVPE System as well as equipment upgrade and customization activities.
Our close collaboration with research Universities and industry collaborators provides us with access to a broad range of metrology equipment, allowing us to determine the characteristics of Agnitron grown materials and provides the ability to fabricate semiconductor devices such as HEMT, LEDs, photodetectors and related devices.
